Frequently asked questions.
Does my child need speech therapy?
Listed are some red flags for when you may consider speech therapy:
-It is difficult for youself/others to understand your child by 4 years old
-Your child often substitutes sounds (ex. “tat” for cat)
-Has difficulties following directions (ex. “sit down”)
-Not combining 2 words together by 36 months
-Your child has frequent whole word repetitions (“ I , I, I, I am going to school”) or part-word repetitions ( “ My favorite is b-b-b-bubbles”) or has secondary behaviors (excessive eye blinking, head nodding) or blocks (inaudible period when a child/adult gets “stuck” on a sound) by school age
Do you work with adults?
Yes! Some of our favorite patients are post-stroke patients and adults with memory deficits.

What is different about your clinic?
Over the Moon Speech is therapist- owned and run by the SLP. You have full access to the speech therapist. Your experience will be one-on-one with the speech therapist and tailored to fit your individual needs. There is no need to go through multiple people to have your requests/concerns voiced like at large commercial clinics.
We also make this experience convenient for you by traveling to your child’s school, daycare or client homes. Telehealth is also offered for convenience.
do you take insurance?
We are in-network for Aetna and Anthem BCBS. All other insurances are currently out-of-network. All out-of-network insurances would be out-of-pocket. However, a superbill can be provided to clients as a receipt to insurance companies to count towards an out-of-network deductible.
DO YOU ACCEPT HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNT PAYMENTS?
Yes, we do for in-network, out-of-network, and private pay.
when does using out-of-network insurance make sense?
I thought in-network providers were cheaper for the client? Answer: NOT ALWAYS! It makes sense for those clients who have a high deductible health plan. Want to know if paying for out-of-network for services may be right for your family and how the costs may compare, click the link below:
